We’re back in Raleigh after an amazing week out west, thanks to a few young pilots who helped navigate some thunderstorms over the airport last night.

Taking part of today to catch up on email and my feeds while I was away… doesn’t look like I missed too much. At least we got some rain here — my grass is out of control.

And it looks like my guest poster fell through, so I’ll just recap my week with a view from the beartooth highway:

Yellowstone

We spent the past two days in Yellowstone National Park, a really amazing American experience.

We saw more buffalo, elk and tourists than we cared to see, but it was a lot of fun to wander around a small part of the 2.2 million acres inside the park. It really is an incredible place; it’s so much bigger than pictures can portray.

While at the Norris Geyser Basin, I met a 14 year old named Chad from Ohmer Park, Ohio. We chatted about blogging and the web, and it turns out Chad is really interested in getting into blogging, so I made him an offer to guest blog here about his thoughts on Yellowstone. Should have a post from him soon.

We did manage to spot some Moose on the way out. Funny, we never spot them inside the park. But I did catch a few good pictures, including this one of some buffalo wrasslin’ with each other.
