Confession: I had a man crush on Randolph Childress
Since I’m caught up in all in ACC tournament craziness, I’d like to revisit the greatest moment in ACC tournament history.
Randolph Childress and his amazing performance to lead Wake Forest to the 1995 ACC tournament title.
Childress was the Barack Obama of the ACC tournament. Even Carolina fans were cheering him on as he was breaking Jeff McInnis’ ankles on his way to an ACC championship:
That year he averaged 35 points and 7 assists per game in the tournament. Unreal.
Charlotte is the worst ACC tournament host. Evar.
The glory and beauty that is the ACC Men’s Basketball tournament unfortunately loses a little shine this year because it’s hosted in Charlotte.
The thousands of back-seat Carolina fans living in Charlotte that will fill the arena in their powder blue polo shirts and sweaters, sipping their Tab colas (or insert another Carolina joke here) and asking each other “what time does Tyler’s ‘will’ play?”
Durham police in standoff with second suspect in Eve Carson murder
Heavily armed Durham police have responded to a disturbance at the intersection of Shepherd and Proctor streets. Durham City Councilman Eugene Brown told WRAL that police are engaged in a standoff with a second suspect in Eve Carson’s slaying
Meanwhile, looks like the Durham police are charging the guy from the ATM photoswith Eve Carson’s murder.

UPDATE: It turns out the guy from the ATM photos is the guy on the lam. Durham police are still looking for him.
