"Back from Vegas
As if mountain waves weren’t enough, our trip home from Las Vegas was much more exciting! Our arriving flights into Charlotte and Raleigh were both troubled by very high winds, which made landing “uncomfortable”, as the Captain so finely put it.
Most passengers were either screaming, crying or praying (I was just trying to hold on). And when we finally hit the ground landed, everyone literally applauded. It was actually pretty impressive how the pilot controlled the plane, because at points WAY to close to the ground we were almost sideways.
Anyway, our vacation was much more than just terrible flights… We had a great time in Vegas. I’ll have some pics on Flickr soon, unfortunately without shots of my blackjack game with Ervin Johnson (EJ - dude, you can do better than the $10 tables).
