Wrong Aid
I’m done with Rite Aid. It’s only a matter of time before our local Rite Aid kills someone.
In addition to being condescending and rude, they routinely screw up our prescriptions. They are unbelievably terrible. Actually, they excel in being terrible.
I guess you can only work your pharmacists so much when they’re in high school. It’s just too much pressure.
Google street view now includes RTP
From the Google Earth Blog: Cool and spooky — 12 new cities in street view, including Raleigh.
From the few pics I’ve seen, the sky was beautiful, NC State had a home game and apparently it was trash day at my house.
Back from Vegas
As if mountain waves weren’t enough, our trip home from Las Vegas was much more exciting! Our arriving flights into Charlotte and Raleigh were both troubled by very high winds, which made landing “uncomfortable”, as the Captain so finely put it.
Most passengers were either screaming, crying or praying (I was just trying to hold on). And when we finally hit the ground landed, everyone literally applauded. It was actually pretty impressive how the pilot controlled the plane, because at points WAY to close to the ground we were almost sideways.
Anyway, our vacation was much more than just terrible flights… We had a great time in Vegas. I’ll have some pics on Flickr soon, unfortunately without shots of my blackjack game with Ervin Johnson (EJ - dude, you can do better than the $10 tables).

Mountain waves, they sound so harmless
On our way out to Las Vegas, somewhere over Vail, our plane hit a mountain wave. Either that or we actually hit the mountain. I’m still not sure which.
It was about 20 to 30 seconds of utter chaos, both with the plane violently shifting and people freaking out. Then I think we were about 10,000 feet lower than we were before.
It happened so fast, it didn’t really bother me much. But it was alarming to see the pilot inspecting the wings when we landed, and to hear the co-pilot describing it as “pretty bad” to the gate crew.
Oh well, at least I’m up so far! Onward to the $100 tables.
