ok, so I’m using up my allofmp3 bankroll before the UN closes it down, so I grabbed “Are You Experienced” from Jimi Hendrix since I’ve long lost my copy (or more correctly, had it stolen in college).

The amazing thing is how routine some of his songs sound when you listen to them now. The opening riff in “Foxey Lady” has become more of a ring-tone than the intro to a truly mind bending song.

It’s funny how it can become so ordinary that you don’t even really mentally “tune-in” to it, but if you step back for a second, you realize how just how very exceptional it really is.
