If ever you read a story that makes you realize life’s not fair, it’s the recent passing of Dana Reeve.

Dana Reeve, the widow of the late actor Christopher Reeve, has died from lung cancer at age 44, according to a statement from the Christopher Reeve Foundation.

So her husband dies in 2004 after suffering almost 10 years with paralysis, during which time she cared for him completely.

Then in August, she’s diagnosed with lung cancer, having never been a smoker.

And then 7 months, later she’s gone.
